About the South Burnett Music Awards
The South Burnett Music Awards were born as an idea from Blackbutt musician Warren Gould, who realised that the music scene in the South Burnett area and its contributors were not getting the recognition they deserved, and sought to change this, alongside Sheena Lindholm, Amos Pellas, Tony Cisneros, Lea Reyes, and others.
The South Burnett Music Awards are also forming a committee of youths from the area, who are essential in the future of the awards.

As well as supporting the current local live music community, Gould engages actively with the future of the community through donations to and recognition of younger musicians and students with promising talent.
